Meet Mr. Alick Mazuza Mpumulo
Mr. Alick Mazunza Mpumulo is an accomplished Malawian Valuation Surveyor, Property Consultant, and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) Specialist with extensive experience in property valuation, land administration, estate management, compensation assessment, and infrastructure-related social safeguard projects.
He currently serves as the Managing Director of Anchor Property Consultants, where he leads strategic operations in property valuation, property management, estate agency services, and RAP consultancy assignments across Malawi.
With more than a decade of professional experience in the real estate and land economy sector, Mr. Mpumulo has built a strong reputation for delivering professional, accurate, and client-focused consultancy services for banks, corporations, government institutions, NGOs, infrastructure developers, and international organizations. His expertise spans property valuation for mortgage financing, insurance, financial reporting, compensation assessments, investment appraisal, market analysis, property management, and land acquisition processes.
Mr. Mpumulo holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Land Economy from the University of Malawi – The Malawi Polytechnic, a Diploma in Land Administration from the Natural Resources College, and is further advancing his expertise through postgraduate studies in Project Management and Land Governance. He is also a professional member of the Surveyors Institute of Malawi.
Throughout his career, he has worked with reputable institutions including Press Corporation plc, ADMARC MW Ltd, SMEC International, TG Msonda & Associates Chartered Valuation Surveyors, and the Ministry of Lands and Urban Development. These roles exposed him to high-level assignments involving property portfolio management, infrastructure compensation programs, lease administration, land disputes, construction monitoring, and asset management.
He has played key roles in major national and regional projects, including the Mozambique–Malawi Infrastructure Development Project, Kasiya Mining Project Pre-RAP, Zalewa–Mwanza Road RAP, Mpombeya–Mozambique Electricity Interconnection Project, and numerous valuation assignments for banks and corporate institutions. His work has involved stakeholder engagement, valuation of affected assets, livelihood restoration planning, grievance handling, and implementation of compensation frameworks in line with international safeguard standards.
As a leader, Mr. Mpumulo is recognized for his professionalism, analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and commitment to excellence. He combines technical valuation expertise with practical project management and business leadership capabilities, enabling him to successfully coordinate multidisciplinary consultancy assignments while maintaining high standards of quality and integrity.
His technical competencies include GIS and mapping applications, property market analysis, valuation software, AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, SketchUp, project management tools, and asset management systems, which support modern and data-driven real estate consultancy services.
